Starting School in September 2026
You should have now received confirmation of school places for September 2026.
We are so excited to meet our new children, parents and carers! If your child has a place at Hazel Wood, please can we ask that you pop into the school office by Thursday 30th April, to confirm your child's place. The office is open between 9 am - 2 pm. Please could you bring with you, your child's original birth certificate or passport and 2 of the following, as evidence of the address you used for your application:
* a recent household bill, for example a gas, electricity water, or Council Tax bill, and
* a recent bank statement, credit card statement, or store card statement
If you have moved house:
* a solicitors letter confirming that exchange of contacts has taken place, or
* a signed tenancy agreement (usually for a 12-month period)

Applying for a school place.
Hampshire County Council manages our admissions process. Please visit their website for more information regarding how to apply, deadline dates of when to apply and how to appeal.
You can also apply for a place 'in year' via the above website. Once we have been advised that you have made an in year application, we aim to respond to your application within 10 days, but no later then 15. If you apply during the school holidays, your application will not be processed until the school is open.
If you are offered a place at our school, you will receive a letter from us explaining the documentation we need. We will also discuss a start date with you.
If you are refused a place at our school, your child will automatically be added to our waiting list. You can appeal the decision, or look for an alternative school place, via the admissions website.
